The Ben-my-Chree was 97 per cent reliable over the last 13 months.
That’s according to the Steam Packet Company which says the boat had a technical reliability of 97.17 per cent.
During 2018, and January 2019, the Ben-my-Chree completed 1,321 sailings and clocked up around 88,500 miles.
Her main engines accumulated more than 10,800 running hours.
Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward says: "Once again Ben-my-Chree has served the Island well and had a great reliability record during 2018, with very few cancellations due to technical issues.
"This highlights her value to the island and underlines the significant investment we have made to retain the vessel."
