Technology behind MT clearSound up for GLOMO awards

by isleofman.com 26th February 2019

The company which pioneered the technology behind Manx Telecom’s ground-breaking MT clearSound product has been shortlisted for three global awards.

Goshawk International Ltd is in the running in the mobile industry’s equivalent of the Oscars.

It’s received nominators for the Best Mobile Service for the Connected Life, Best Mobile Innovation for Health and Biotech, and Best Use of Mobile for Accessibility and Inclusion awards.

The winners of the 24th annual Global Mobile Awards will be announced in Barcelona as part of the Mobile World Congress which runs until February 28.

MWC is the world’s largest mobile industry event bringing together the latest innovations and leading-edge technology from more than 2,400 companies.

The award nominations follow the successful launch of MT clearSound - a world first mobile technology product that was researched, trialled, developed, and launched on the Island.

Often described as a type of ‘hearing aid in the sky’ it uses unique software to fine tune speech in incoming and outgoing calls to suit the specific needs of the user.

Currently Manx Telecom’s pay monthly customers have exclusive access to MT clearSound but the potential global market for this technology is huge.

Later this it will be available in the United Kingdom via a Mobile Virtual Network Operator on the BT/EE mobile network and branded as ‘Audacious’.

In parallel with the UK launch, Goshawk International Ltd Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Matthew Turner, will lead the strategic development and global scaling of the technology.
