Government says it has made ‘errors’ with immigration rules it planned to lay before Tynwald this month.
The Statement of Changes in Immigration Rules was revoked by the Council of Ministers.
It’s after some members of Tynwald found it contained mistakes.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle says: "The Statement contained errors which while mainly administrative meant that the law was not correct.
"I can only apologise for the mistakes in the Statement and thank those who brought this to my attention.
"Meanwhile I also would like to give a reassurance that under the Statement of Changes made on 31stJanuary and made today, no immigration application received will be affected."
A revised Statement of Changes in Immigration Rules is being progressed and will be laid before Tynwald in March.
