An Isle of Man based gin producer says it’s achieved a gross sales turnover of more than half a million pounds since it launched.
The Fynoderee Distillery says its exceeded ?544,000 since early November 2017.
Co-founded by local couple Paul and Tiffany Kerruish and master distiller Gerard Macluskey the team have since launched four seasonal Fynoderee Manx dry gins.
Each gin uses local botanicals – the team has also launched a speciality vodka distilled with Manx honey and a limited edition pink gin for charity.
Tiffany says: “We set out to encapsulate the natural beauty, mystical stories and enchanted spirit of the Island in our products – the ‘feature’ Manx botanicals that we use in our recipes connect us to the biosphere of the Island and the story of The Fynoderee is a great way to lure people in to our magical realm where “faeries” and folklore tales abound.
“Our branding story has appealed to people’s imaginations and resonates not only with locals, but anybody with a connection to the Isle of Man or an interest in Celtic folklore and tradition and its association with locality and provenance of ingredients.
“I believe our success to date proves that despite it being a very busy market place, there is still a growing demand for authentic, premium spirits with genuine provenance and backstory.”
Paul says: “After what can only be described as a fyn-tastic first year, we are keeping our feet on the pedal and fast advancing discussions to acquire and develop a much larger and bespoke Distillery building to create more scale for production, distillery office, retail space and Tasting Room, alongside a characterful “Barrel Room” to start laying down the aged spirits the Distillery is already starting to experiment with, using locally grown Manx Malt Barley.
“You can also expect new product lines as early as March this year!”
