Dandara builds support for local football club

by isleofman.com 15th January 2019

The Island’s most successful football club is hoping for more success in the new year after ending 2018 on a high - with the ongoing support of homebuilder Dandara.

Peel AFC currently sits at the top of the Canada Life Premier League and has just collected the first silverware of the season after winning Boxing Day’s showpiece Railway Cup Final.

Dandara, the club’s title sponsor since 2000, has backed the club again in 2018/19 with further funding to help provide kits and equipment for its senior teams and general improvements at the club’s Douglas Road ground.

Club Secretary Colin Moore says: “The partnership with Dandara is one we value and it’s fitting that the company is a loyal and long-lasting supporter of the longest-established club on the Island.

“To be title sponsor for so long shows a real commitment to the club and to Peel and we hope to be able to reward Dandara’s dedication by bringing home more silverware this season.”

Dandara Marketing Manager Angela Beresford adds: “The club has a long and proud history and is right at the heart of the community in Peel.

“We are delighted to have played a part in supporting the club for so many years and, as ever, we’ll all be cheering them on throughout the season.”
