Read the Signs App given makeover

by isleofman.com 14th January 2019

Motorists are being urged to ‘Read The Signs’ ahead of making journeys on the Island.

Government has updated its mobile App to include improved graphics and the ability to send users notifications about the matrix signs.

It was first launched in 2014 and has since been downloaded thousands of times.

Information on the App – including weather warnings and emergency road closure information – is updated every five minutes, 24 hours a day.

MLC Kate Lord-Brennan has responsibility for Highway Services – she says: “Read The Signs app allows many people to plan their journeys with confidence and the new features are designed to bring the app up to date, in terms of how it looks and works.”

The App should update automatically for existing users.
