Professionals to discuss State of the Nation

by isleofman.com 14th January 2019

Compliance, risk and governance professionals on the Isle of Man will meet next month for the annual Manx State of the Nation conference.

The event is being held on February 1st and is sponsored by PwC Isle of Man.

Organised by the Alliance of Isle of Man Compliance Professionals and supported by the International Compliance Association it twill take place at the Villa Marina.

The conference will comprise presentations and panel sessions featuring regulators, executives and risk and compliance commentators from on and off-Island who will discuss a number of ‘hot topics’ which are shaping the fast-moving and dynamic environment in which risk and compliance professionals find themselves.

Steve Billinghurst, Advisory Director at PwC, says: "We are thrilled to be both sponsoring and participating in the Island’s premier annual conference.

"Evolving international regulation places the Isle of Man and its businesses under the microscope more than ever before so it will be extremely beneficial to contribute to and hear the views of a number of the Island’s risk and compliance professionals.

"The agenda not only reflects the highly publicised events that our Island has faced but also some of those that will continue to shape our business and economic future.

"I look forward to chairing the panel of senior regulators to discuss current regulatory developments affecting the Island."

Registration for the event closes on January 25th.
