MOD to remove WW2 shells found in Willaston

by isleofman.com 8th January 2019

The Ministry of Defence will be drafted in today to remove old World War Two shells which were found in a garden in Willaston.

Some homes in the area of Watterson Lane were evacuated yesterday after fears over the safety of the objects.

Police remained on scene overnight to oversee a road closure between Fenella Avenue, Watterson Lane and Keppel Road.

They say there is no danger to the public in the area.
