Revamping a bar in Douglas shows a 'resounding vote of confidence' in the Isle of Man's visitor economy.
That’s the message from The Sefton Group which has re-opened Sir Norman's Bar at the Sefton Hotel after a refit.
Sir Norman's Theatre Bar has been themed around the theatre with a raised stage area, artwork from productions and a new bar menu.
It’s operated by restaurant group Harbour Lights – director Ben Heath says: "We are delighted to have collaborated with local theatre companies to provide us with some of the beautiful artwork featured in the brand-new Sir Norman’s Theatre Bar.
"This project was the conclusion of our 2018 investment programme which has seen nearly ?1m invested into the island.
"Our journey to launch two new brands and transform the Sefton Hotel public restaurant areas could not have been possible without the tremendous dedication of local businesses across the design, hospitality, construction and supply sectors."
Group Operations Director of the Sefton Group Adrian Brockhouse says: "We are pleased to be strengthening our mutually beneficial business relationship with Harbour Lights.
"The significant investment the company has made in the Sefton Hotel’s bar and restaurant areas reflects Harbour Lights’ commitment to deliver exceptional high standards of hospitality, an objective we at the Sefton Group share.
"Importantly, the creation of Sir Norman's Theatre Bar represents a resounding vote of confidence in the local visitor economy and I wish Ben and his colleagues every success with their new venture."
