Negotiations over postal jobs to continue in New Year

by isleofman.com 17th December 2018

Postal workers have returned to work as normal after a two-day strike.

Members of the Communication Workers Union resumed their normal duties on Saturday morning.

Chief Executive Simon Kneen says: "We are incredibly grateful to those staff who came in during the strikes and worked longer hours to ensure we were able to minimise disruption to our valued customers and clients.

"I must also thank our customers for their patience and understanding during this period.

"We look forward to returning to normal service and helping to deliver Christmas for our customers as we do every year.

"However, our negotiations with the Communication Workers Union remain ongoing and a further round of talks will be held in the New Year."
