London Transport Museum Friends have presented the Best Western Palace Hotel with a plaque in recognition of its contribution to the charity’s Isle of Man visit.
A 60-strong delegation stayed at the hotel in November during a tour of the Island’s vintage transport systems.
Tour Manager Mike Kay says: “All the Palace Hotel’s staff went out of their way to provide a great guest experience.
“The tour of the Isle of Man’s magnificently preserved transport systems, including the Douglas horse tramway and the Isle of Man Steam Railway, was truly outstanding, made all the memorable by our stay at such a customer-focused hotel.”
Hotel General Manager Gareth Capper says: “To receive such positive feedback is most encouraging and illustrates the commitment of all the team at the Palace Hotel and, indeed, across the entire Sefton Group, to deliver consistently excellent customer service.
“We’re delighted to have contributed not only to the success of the London Transport Museum Friends’ tour but also to playing our part in promoting the Isle of Man to a wider audience, especially during 2018, the Year of Our Island.”
