The Island’s tourism industry is being urged to complete a new survey which aims to gain a greater insight into tourism sector trends.
Visit Isle of Man has launched the ‘How’s Business Survey’ which is aimed at accommodation and activity providers as well as attraction owners.
It will gather data to assess how the sector has performed this year, forecast for the year ahead and identify any areas of concern.
Head of Visit Isle of Man Angela Byrne said: “We would like to thank all our trade partners who have previously taken the time to participate and would encourage all those in the industry to spare a few moments to take part in our 2018 survey.
“As we look to realise the fullest economic growth potential of the Island as a visitor destination, we rely on collaboration with our partners to fulfil the Department’s Destination Management Plan.”
Results from the 2017 survey helped recognise trends including, how and where visitors booked their accommodation or activity and the main areas of concern affecting tourism businesses.
As a direct result of last year’s survey and visitor feedback to trade partners, the Department for Enterprise is working alongside the Department of Infrastructure to improve the walking routes, and corresponding signage, on the Island.
