Remembrance participants offered free transport

by isleofman.com 9th November 2018

People participating in Remembrance Day events on Sunday are being offered free transport.

Those with evidence of military service or in uniform, including cadets and scouts, will be able to travel on public transport without paying.

Jason Moorhouse is the MHK with responsibility for Public Transport – he says: "With so many events taking around the Island on Sunday it’s important those taking part are supported in being able to pay tribute.

"The department has decided that it will make this small gesture to help those commemorating the 100thanniversary of Armistice Day.

"The measure will last all day and applies to everyone taking part in an official event or parade."
