Businesses offered equality advice ahead of act roll out

Businesses are being offered help to get ready for the new Equality Act.

It comes into force in January.

Government is now inviting private sector businesses to attend a series of training sessions which cover the act’s provisions and how to embed them.

Sessions will be hosted by government Equality Advisor Dawn Kinnish – admission is free of charge.

They’ll run between 7pm and 8.30pm on the following dates:

Monday 19th November, Keyll Darree, Noble’s Hospital                            

Thursday 22nd November, Ramsey Town Hall

Monday 26th November, Port St Mary Town Hall        

Wednesday 28th November, Thie Slieau Whallian, St John’s
