Businesses are being offered help to get ready for the new Equality Act.

It comes into force in January.

Government is now inviting private sector businesses to attend a series of training sessions which cover the act’s provisions and how to embed them.

Sessions will be hosted by government Equality Advisor Dawn Kinnish – admission is free of charge.

They’ll run between 7pm and 8.30pm on the following dates:

Monday 19^th November, Keyll Darree, Noble’s Hospital                            

Thursday 22^nd November, Ramsey Town Hall

Monday 26^th November, Port St Mary Town Hall        

Wednesday 28^th November, Thie Slieau Whallian, St John’s
