The Isle of Man has been placed on an amber weather warning.
Coastal overtopping is likely to affect central and northern parts of Douglas Promenade.
It will also hit Laxey and Ramsey Promenades and Castletown and Shore Road in Rushen.
The weather warning will be in place between 11am this morning and 2am tomorrow morning.
