Motorists urged to take care after three crashes in 13 hours

by isleofman.com 8th November 2018

Motorists are being urged to take extra care when driving in adverse weather conditions.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says it attended three crashes in a 13-hour period on Tuesday.

These included a car which had crashed on the Manx Electric Railway line on King Edward Road.

Crews also dealt with a two-vehicle crash at Lambfell in Glen Helen just before 6pm.

Hydraulic cutting equipment had to be used to extract two occupants of one vehicle – they were then treated by paramedics.

At 5.31am on Wednesday morning firefighters were called to Alpine Corner in Ballaugh after a car ended up on its roof.

The driver had managed to free themselves but was treated by paramedics at the scene.
