Chief Secretary's role questioned by MHK

by isleofman.com 26th October 2018

The Chief Secretary’s role will be put under the spotlight in the House of Keys next week.

South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft has tabled three questions for Chief Minister Howard Quayle.

She wants to know what the powers, functions and responsibilities are – and what changes have been made to these since 1988.

Mrs Beecroft also wants to know more about the appointment process and how many times, since 2016, the Chief Secretary has communicated with a tribunal in the UK or authorised such communication.

The role of Chief Secretary is currently held by Will Greenhow.
