Police say they will address problem cyclists

by isleofman.com 25th October 2018

Police say they will address the ‘small minority’ of cyclists that cause problems on the Island’s roads.

They’ve responded after a mixed reaction on social media to a new campaign which launched this week.

Operation Safe Pass was started on Monday as a way of educating drivers about safe passing distances.

Officers say the campaign is designed to help protect vulnerable road users – and they will look at addressing concerns over horse riders and walkers in ‘due course’.

In a post on Facebook they say: “This is a not the post to have a go at any cyclists that have caused you issues but we will address that small minority that let cyclists down in due course as we have done in the past."
