Celton Manx will sponsor Douglas Borough Council’s public fireworks display for the eighth successive year.
The event will be held on Friday, November 2nd starting at 7.25pm.
Deputy Mayor of Douglas Ian Clague will lead the judging for the Best Guy competition.
At 7.40pm the fireworks display, set to music, will be fired from a barge moored opposite the war memorial on Douglas Promenade.
3FM, the council's media partner for the event, will be broadcasting live coverage of the event.
Regeneration and Community Committee Chairman Stephen Pitts says: "The council is very grateful to Celton Manx for their continued sponsorship of the fireworks event, which attracts visitors to Douglas from around the Island in great numbers - usually in the region of 6000 - to witness a spectacular display.
"This is always an eagerly anticipated event which, thanks to the hard work of council staff, provides an opportunity for families to enjoy the fireworks in a safe and secure environment in the magnificent setting of Douglas bay."
Celton Manx Executive Director Bill Mummery said: "The council’s fireworks display is an unfailingly crowd-pleasing, well organised occasion, which attracts many people to the town centre, so is of considerable benefit to the local economy.
"Celton Manx is therefore pleased to be sponsoring for the eighth year in succession what is one of the largest and most popular community events in Douglas."
Should circumstances such as unfavourable sea and/or weather conditions or technical issues dictate that the event has to be cancelled on Friday November 2nd the council has contingency plans in place and obtained an occasional music licence for Sunday, November 4th.
Any changes to the planned schedule will be communicated as soon as possible via the council’s social media channels and broadcast by its media partner, 3FM.
In the interests of safety spectators are requested not to bring pets or their own fireworks, including sparklers, onto the site.
