A Manx born optometrist has been nominated in the Association of Optometrists Awards.
Kris Cottier, who now lives in Bexleyheath in South East London, is one of the finalists in the Locum of the Year Award.
He has undertaken over 50,000 sight tests and worked in practically every optical environment including refractive optometry, hospital,
domiciliary and peer development allowing him to consult a huge range of patients.
The AOP Awards recognise the highest levels of achievement in British Optics.
The 2018 AOP awards attracted over 20,000 votes from optical professionals and patients.
AOP Chief Executive Henrietta Alderman said: "The AOP Awards give us the chance to celebrate everyday excellence and outstanding
achievements in optics and the 2019 shortlist has once again demonstrated how hard our colleagues across the profession work.
