Cats and kittens rescued after house fire

by isleofman.com 1st October 2018

Cats and kittens were rescued from a house in Douglas on Saturday after a fire broke out.

Firefighters were called to a property in Harcroft Road after neighbours heard the alarm sounding.

They extinguished a small fire on a cooker hob and then located the animals and removed them safely.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service is now reminding people to ensure they have smoke alarms fitted in their properties and to carry out a weekly test to ensure they’re working.
