TV viewers in the south of the Island are being thanked for their patience after problems with a transmitter.
The Communications Commission says it’s been aware of a problem affecting people who are served by the Port St Mary transmitter.
The issue involves poor signal and frequent dropping out of the non BBC channels on Freeview.
The Commission says it has been in regular contact with the relevant organisation which manages the television transmitters and the likely cause of the problem is believed to have been identified.
However adverse weather conditions caused difficulties in the replacement part and a specialist engineer being able to travel over to the Island.
