Plan.com has ranked in the top 100 of Britain’s private tech companies.
It came out top in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 – the first time a company based on the Isle of Man has taken the top spot.
The league table tracks companies with the fastest growing sales over the last three years.
Published on September 9th the list recognised the company for “helping 100,000 UK businesses to monitor their telecommunications usage in real-time”.
Plan.com is currently based on Hope Street in Douglas but is developing a new headquarters on Victoria Road.
A plan.com spokesman says: “We are thrilled about being recognised by the industry in this way.
“The Sunday Times rankings are a HUGE deal, they are a household name and recognised by the public and the world of business as something that can be relied upon.
“The standard Fast Track 100 ranks all companies in the UK by their sales growth, but tech companies tend to have much higher rates than companies in other industries and that means that we rank number one on a list of companies who are miles ahead of everyone else in the UK.
“We did not sponsor the event or buy a table – there is no money in this award and therefore, you can’t buy your way in or sway the judges in any way.
“It is based purely on approved, audited numbers – there’s no clever marketing, there’s no opportunity to dazzle the judges with fancy websites or brochures- we were recognised by the industry as a company doing great things.
“It is important to say that although this is an award with tech in the title and our tech team is vital our success, the key criteria is business growth- therefore, each and every one of us contributed to our success.”
