Marshals and officials who were due to travel to the Island for Rally Isle of Man will get a full refund.

The event was cancelled at the weekend by rally organisers – just weeks before it was due to start.

The Department for Enterprise says it’s been working with Isle of Man Event Services to understand and mitigate the financial impact of the cancellation.

All visiting marshals and officials who had booked and paid for their travel and accommodation will now be refunded in full.

The department says stakeholders – including hotels and the Steam Packet Company – have supported this move to ensure people are not left out of pocket.

Rally Isle of Man has already confirmed rally teams will get their entry fees refunded in full.
