Charities who are wishing to collect money in Douglas are being invited to apply for a licence.
Those wanting to hold street collections and flag days in 2019 are asked to contact Douglas Council.
Town Centre Manager Oliver Cheshire says: "There are so many charities in the Island doing tremendous work to transform people’s lives.
"All these good causes, though, are having to operate in an economic climate that’s placing added pressure on people’s charitable giving priorities.
"Town centre street collections are a great way for charities to connect directly with the public and inform them about their work.
"We’re finding more and more charities are showing incredible ingenuity when it comes to catching people’s attention and Douglas town centre management will be pleased to work with them to increase their visibility."
28 applications will be considered for the year - the council will also consider applications for licences in non-town centre areas on a first come, first served basis.
The deadline for applications is Friday, November 9th.
