Police patrols stepped up to deter thief

by isleofman.com 10th August 2018

Police say they’ve stepped up patrols in Anagh Coar to try and detect a thief who is targeting elderly people.

Officers say the person is using unlocked windows to try and gain access to premises whilst the occupants are out.

They’re urging people to help elderly neighbours take suitable security precautions.

A spokesperson said: "The Island is a very safe place but we know this type of incident causes concern.

"We will do our best to catch the offender and any help would be appreciated.

"If you know anything about this matter please contact us."
