Council uses swimming pool water to irrigate floral displays

by isleofman.com 10th August 2018

Swimming pool water is being used to water floral displays in Douglas.

Douglas Borough Council is using the water from the NSC during the hosepipe ban.

100,000 litres has been pumped from the pools, which are now closed for refurbishment, and is now being stored at Ballaughton Nursery.

It means the council will be able to continue watering the floral displays for the remainder of the summer.
