Swimming pool water offered to local people

by isleofman.com 9th August 2018

One and a half million litres of water is being offered to people on the Isle of Man to combat the hosepipe ban.

It’s from the NSC swimming pools which have been closed for refurbishment.

The grey water is available to people who want to water plants or their garden or wash windows or vehicles – it is not suitable for drinking.

The water has been through a natural de-chlorination process.

People can collect it up until 3pm on Friday, August 10th.

The hosepipe ban came into force on August 3rd following a prolonged spell of dry weather.
