Police have confirmed a motorbike rider has died following a crash on the Mountain Road yesterday.

It happened at around 3.45pm in the area of the Mountain Mile.

Officers say it involved a single motorcycle – the rider, a 50-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Members of the public have been thanked for stopping at the scene and assisting the Emergency Services with their duties.
