Public urged to have their say on Ballakilley land boundary

by isleofman.com 6th August 2018
People are being urged to share their views on the future of land in the south of the Island.

Port Erin Commissioners has made an application to extend its boundary to include the whole of the Ballakilley Estate.

That land currently falls within the district of Rushen.

As part of the application a public inquiry must be held to allow stakeholders and interested parties an opportunity to comment on the proposals.

Information gathered will be considered by the Chairperson of the public inquiry who will recommend whether an order should be made to adjust the boundary.

The Department of Infrastructure will then give consideration to this report and determine whether or not to make an order – if so Tynwald approval would be needed.

The deadline for views is 5pm on September 14th - you can find an online response form by clicking HERE.
