Bus passengers are being encouraged to use a new App to help them get around the Island.

Zip Trip has been developed by Ticketer and includes detailed route information, live departure times and the nearest bus stop.

MHK Jason Moorhouse has responsibility for Public Transport – he says: "Zip Trip is a great tool for our passengers and caters for a range of customer needs.

"Tourists, for example, who may not know exactly where they are, will be able to use the free bus wifi and track themselves on the map.

"And commuters who have had a long day at work and fancy a little nap on the way home can set an alert to make sure they don’t sleep past their stop."

Ian Longworth is the Director of Transport Services - he says: "A future development is set to include ticket sales available through Zip Trip – and reinforces how we continue to put customers’ needs first."

Zip Trip can be downloaded via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
