Baby Pheonix rises from ashes at Wildlife Park

by isleofman.com 20th July 2018

A baby lemur has been born at the wildlife park – just months after a tragic fire.

Phoenix is the offspring of the breeding pair of lemurs who survived the blaze in April.

The animals won’t be on show until a new permeant enclosure is built.

A spokesperson for the Curraghs Wildlife Park says: "We are all delighted that these pair have recovered and contribute another very important birth to this critically endangered species as part of a coordinated effort by EAZA zoos to save species from extinction."
