Volunteers at the Southern 100 have been thanked for their ‘dedication, diligence and professionalism’.
The club has released a statement expressing its thanks to numerous people who helped the event run this year.
A spokesperson said: "Southern 100 Racing is also very grateful and deeply indebted to all marshals, paramedics and medical personnel who were present.
"Thank you for your dedication, diligence and professionalism, which came to the fore during the various incidents but especially during the Thursday afternoon after the serious incident at the Stadium Corner section of the course.
"It is a fact that without you ALL, whether wearing orange, green or other coloured overalls, there would be no racing – as organisers we thank and salute you one and all."
Residents and landowners who live around the course were also thanked for their understanding and patience.
