Yacht rescued after getting into difficulty

by isleofman.com 17th July 2018

A yacht had to be rescued on Sunday after getting into difficulty in Douglas Bay.

The 36ft vessel had been sailing with others but its sails became entangled in its rigging.

The crew attempted to motor back into the harbour but were unable to due to a brisk offshore wind.

Douglas RNLI was called into action just before 12.30pm – it escorted the yacht to a berth on Battery Pier.
