Plea from Southern 100 organisers as good weather continues

by isleofman.com 6th July 2018

Race fans are being urged not to discard cigarettes around the Southern 100 Course.

The event starts next week – and race organisers say they need people to take extra care due to the recent good weather.

The land around the Billown Course is described as 'tinder dry'.

People are being urged to let Marshals know if they plan to use barbeques and not to leave them smouldering.

They’re also urging marshals and spectators to keep themselves hydrated and protected from the sun.
