Isle of Man represented at Brexit meeting

by isleofman.com 4th July 2018
The UK Government and representatives from the Crown Dependencies have restated their commitment to reach a Brexit deal that 'works for the whole British family'.

The joint statement follows the sixth Quarterly Ministerial Meeting which was held in London on Monday.

Chaired by Robin Walker, Minister at the Department for Exiting the EU, the meeting brought together representatives from Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.

During the meeting Minister Walker set out how the UK is considering the specific interests of the Crown Dependencies, such as the trade of agricultural and fisheries products and their financial services industries, in the wider exit negotiations.

The ministers also discussed readiness planning for Brexit to ensure that the Islands are prepared for any eventuality in negotiations.
