Prison staff could trial body worn cameras

by isleofman.com 22nd June 2018

Prison staff on the Isle of Man say they’re interested in using body worn cameras.

They’re awaiting the outcome of trials currently being conducted by Manx police officers.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle revealed the news in Tynwald earlier this week.

He said body worn cameras in the UK have shown to be an ‘excellent aid’ to de-escalation and evidence gathering in prisons.
