by isleofman.com 14th June 2018

Beach Buddies will attempt to break another record for beach cleaning this weekend.

The local beach cleaning charity is joining with the Year of Our Island team, and government staff, to hold 11 events on one day.

They’ll take place on different beaches around the Island on Sunday.

Beaches on the hitlist include Ramsey North, Port Soderick, Ballaugh, Douglas, Laxey, Peel, Niarbyl, Langness, Port Erin and the Calf of Man.

Beach Buddies is aiming to top 229 volunteers – the previous record set in April when volunteers cleaned nine beaches.
