Police urge people not to steal road safety signs

by isleofman.com 7th June 2018

Police are urging people not to steal road safety signs and take them home as souvenirs.

A sign displaying the message 'Keep Calm and Slow Down' has been taken from the end of the Liverpool Arms straight.

10 signs have also been taken from along the Coast Road.

In a statement on Facebook officers say: "The TT has not finished – we still have new visitors arriving daily and without theses signs this message cannot be delivered and peoples’ safety is put at risk.

"If you want souvenirs of this year's TT please obtain them legally from the many shops around the Island."

Anyone caught removing these signs, or found in possession of them, will be dealt with ‘robustly’.
