Streetlights to stay on for longer in Ramsey

by isleofman.com 5th June 2018

Street lighting in the north of the Island will be kept on for longer during TT week.

Ramsey Town Commissioners say lights will stay on until 2am due to the fact it’s much busier.

Chairman Andy Cowie says: "TT fortnight is always very busy, with many events happening later at night.

"Keeping our street lights on until 2am for the TT period will assist any visitors who may not be familiar with the town to get back to their accommodation safely."

The extended timing will also help those returning on the night buses.
