A pensioner from West Yorkshire has been jailed after entering closed roads during a TT practice session.
James William Ford, 67, from Bingley appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday after being arrested on Monday night.
He pleaded guilty to obstructing or hindering the conduct of the race and failing to comply with requirements imposed by a marshal.
Ford was detained after ignoring marshals in Crosby – it led to the delay of the evening session.
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes sentenced him to four weeks in custody and banned him from the Isle of Man for five years.
In a statement on Facebook police said: "IOM Police and courts will continue to support the race organisers and marshals by way of robust action against anyone who disregards the rules of closed road and the directions of marshals."
