Unemployment rises - 407 out of work

Unemployment on the Isle of Man has risen.

There were 407 people out of work at the end of April – that’s an increase of eight from the month before.

It means the Island's unemployment rate stands at one per cent - 71 per cent of the unemployed are men.

During the month 917 vacancies were notified to the Job Centre.
