Kayakers help rescue dog which went over cliff

by isleofman.com 15th May 2018

Kayakers helped recover a dog which had fallen 200 feet over a cliff yesterday.

Peel Lifeboat was called out at 1pm to aid the dog which had fallen off the coastal path at Knockaloe Beg Farm - the Coastguard was also called out to assist.

Luckily a group of passing kayakers were able to recover the animal into their kayaks and took it to Glen Maye beach to reunite it with its owner.

Coxswain Paul Cain said: "The owner of the dog did the right thing in calling the Coastguard and asking for assistance."
