Old Mutual International, part of Old Mutual Wealth, develops its growth strategy in Singapore through the hire of new sales specialist Bryan Pee. The new role has been developed to support the business’s continued focus on high net worth individuals (HNWI) and to expand Old Mutual International’s reach in Singapore.
HNWIs are a key strategic focus for Old Mutual International, and the business continues to align itself to meet the complex needs and requirements of this market. Having on-the-ground expertise in this area will help strengthen the support it can provide, and help the business develop new partnerships.
The local Singaporean market is one of the fastest growing insurance markets in Asia. According to Capgemini’s Asia-Pacific Wealth Report for 2017, Asia-Pacific continues to be the world’s leader in HNWI population and wealth; with Singapore growing faster in 2016 than in the previous three years. By employing local talent, Old Mutual International will build deeper routes in the local market, helping it reach this growing segment of local HNWI.
Bryan Pee joins Old Mutual International from Bank of China where he gained experience in product, distribution and proposition design. Bryan has previous distribution experience at Zurich International Life, focusing on the Bancassurance channel and the affluent and high net worth markets.
Ian Kloss, CEO Singapore, Old Mutual International, comments:
“The addition of Bryan to our team in Singapore will help us continue to build our growth strategy in the region. We are well-positioned to help meet the needs of high net worth individuals, and Bryan’s expertise will help us reach a wider audience as well as develop our presence in the local Singaporean market.”
Bryan Pee, Area Sales Manager Singapore, Old Mutual International, comments:
“Old Mutual International has a strong reputation in the region for its adviser and customer support, technical knowledge and compelling wealth management proposition. The business is passionate about helping customers achieve their lifetime financial goals. I am excited about being part of its future and I look forward to helping the team at Old Mutual International build and develop their strategy in the region.”
