Representatives from Wi-Manx, leading Island technology provider, will be attending and exhibiting at Isle of Man Cybercrime Forum, being held at the Villa Marina on December 6th, where the business will be showcasing its cyber security offering.
The 2017 forum will feature local industry speakers and global cybercrime leaders fighting to raise awareness of current cybercrime risks within the financial services industry. It promises to answer some of the burning questions delegates will have about cybercrime prevention as well as providing a road map for risk management frameworks.
As a sponsor for the event Wi-Manx will showcase its capability in the cyber security arena and promote its range of services that enable protection against attacks on business networks and data. Services include DDoS Mitigation, Managed Firewalls and Security, Secure Private Cloud, Backup and Disaster Recovery, and Data Governance. Technical staff will be on hand at the stand to speak to delegates and demonstrate what Wi-Manx can offer to businesses.
Wi-Manx Chief Technical Officer, Tim Cass, said: “We are looking forward to exhibiting at Isle of Man Cybercrime Forum. The event provides a great opportunity for Wi-Manx and delegates as we promote our range of cyber security solutions and demonstrate ways to protect against potential network attacks.”
Tim added: “Cybercrime is in constant evolution; increasingly sophisticated exploit methods are being used which require equivalent developments in mitigation techniques just to stay ahead of the game. With Data at the centre of today’s digital transformation it’s now more important than ever that businesses understand the threat and challenges that this brings. This forum will raise awareness of these risks and shed light on risk management strategies.”
