Old Mutual International, one of the biggest employers in the Isle of Man’s financial services sector, has announced it will rebrand as Quilter International. The announcement came as Peter Kenny, Managing Director for Old Mutual International, participated in Old Mutual Wealth’s showcase event held for investors and analysts in London on Wednesday 15 November 2017.
At the showcase, Peter Kenny explained “The International business is headquartered in the Isle of Man a politically and economically stable jurisdiction boasting over 30 years of economic growth. The Isle of Man is a very well-regulated jurisdiction which provides investors with significant comfort.”
Peter highlighted how the International business is transforming from being a traditional life assurance company - to being a modern, life-wrapped platform; and how the business is now focused on fewer core growth markets, with a growing share in the UK resident offshore market and a strong position in its selected international markets.
Peter demonstrated immense pride in the award winning International business, stating: “I feel privileged to be leading the international business. I admired it from afar whilst working with some of its competitors, and have no doubt that this business ranks very strongly amongst its International peer group.”
The showcase was an important landmark event in Old Mutual Wealth’s path to separating from Old Mutual plc and becoming listed. Old Mutual Wealth confirmed that it remains on track to list in 2018. The intention is to complete the listing as early as possible in 2018, subject to regulatory and other approvals.
Old Mutual Wealth announced that, upon separation from Old Mutual plc, it will operate as Quilter plc. With origins dating back to 1771, Quilter is a brand that stands for quality, personal service and dependability; values that remain at the heart of Old Mutual Wealth’s business philosophy today.
The rebrand to Quilter International will happen over a period of approximately two years following separation from Old Mutual. There will be no immediate changes for customers.
