Newfield celebrates major milestone

by isleofman.com 7th November 2017

Isle of Man-based eGaming firm Newfield has celebrated passing the 100 employees milestone, having started in 2012 with just two people.

The firm now has a 109-strong team, and earlier this year doubled the floor space at its Clarendon House office in Douglas in response to increasing business and growing staff numbers.

To mark reaching 100 employees, Newfield gave gift bags to each member of staff, which included a bar of chocolate – and three of those bars had a Willy Wonka-style golden ticket, with the three recipients each receiving a new Apple Watch.

Newfield Director Denis Mikan said: ‘We wanted to mark the milestone in a fun way and with some great prizes. So far, two of the new Series 3 Apple Watches have been claimed, but we are still waiting for one more to be found!’

Denis explained: ‘We are proud of how far the firm has come since January 2012. We’ve had great feedback from both staff and shareholders, who have seen positive change particularly over the last few months.

‘It’s great to see our teams taking responsibility for improving systems and processes while displaying enthusiasm and real care for the work they are doing. We continue to look to grow as a business, increase our headcount and improve the experience of everyone involved with Newfield.

‘On behalf of the directors and shareholders, I would like to thank everyone at Newfield for their hard work and dedication in enabling us to reach this point.’

Newfield is an international racing and sporting events company which utilises an outstanding IT platform and unrivalled expertise to maintain and grow its position as a market leader.
