IOM Darts National Ranking #3

by isleofman.com 7th November 2017

The third of this year's ranking events takes place at the Rosemount pub in Douglas on Saturday 11 November 2017 starting at 7.30pm.  The top spots are still wide open in the men's division with Ian Fields, Robbie Nelson, Paul Kelly and Wayne Harrison all within a couple of points of each other.  Further down the table Silver and Bronze spots are being closely contested by 26 players all aiming for a qualifying spot in the end of season cash prize competitions.  The ladies' division is a much more clear affair with southern league player Sarah Taylor dominating the top spot, three out of three wins puts her clearly in position number one.

Top four men and top two women will represent the Island at next year's Winmau World Masters and Lakeside Qualifier and there is a possibility of a team representing the island at the World Cup in Hungary.  If you would like more information pop along to the Rosemount on Saturday or find us on facebook or twitter @iomdarts.  Spectators are welcome, however U18s will need to check with the venue.

Reasons to Play darts -

1 No age barrier, anyone can play (U18s restricted in some venues but that doesn't stop you playing at home or coming along to some of the comps)
2 Cheap, all you need is a set of darts and a board (or a nearby pub)
3 Any ability, no physical fitness required
4 Great for maths skills
5 Social activity, darts players are super friendly
6 Any skill level, you can play at home, pub league or internationally with very little talent, I should know
7 Only sport you can play a top professional, watch a top professional from the sidelines, sit next to and have a drink with a top pro for very little or no cost! (see IOM Darts Festival)

Why aren't you playing already?
