MSPCA receives cash boost thanks to Pets at Home Isle of Man

by isleofman.com 7th November 2017

Local animal charity MSPCA has received a boost of 668 pounds, thanks to the support of customers at Pets at Home Isle of Man.

The bumper donation was raised for the charity by the retailer’s local VIP (Very Important Pets) club members.

Every time a VIP club member swipes their card when making a purchase in store, at The Groom Room or Vets4Pets they collect points, called VIP Lifelines, which are collated for animal charities supported by the scheme.

Charities such as MSPCA then redeem these points against essential supplies such as food and bedding. To date, over ?7 million has been raised for over 700 charities across the UK, helping countless animals in need.

Johan Greyvenstein, store manager at Pets at Home Isle of Man, said: “The amount of Lifelines that our customers have collected for local charities such as MSPCA is fantastic. We’ve had an overwhelming response from customers looking to support a cause that’s close to their hearts and within the Isle of Man area.

“I’d like to thank our VIP Club members for their help and would encourage any pet owner to join the scheme, as it’s an easy and free way to help out a local charity which works really hard for animals in need.”

Pets at Home’s VIP club gives customers a wide range of benefits, both for themselves and their pet, as well as helping their chosen charity. Perks include personalised offers, welcome discounts, exclusive birthday treats and free copies of My VIP magazine.
