by isleofman.com 6th November 2017

Isle of Man Chartered Marketer, Richard Slee, who is Marketing Manager at Department of Economic Development in the Isle of Man Government, has been awarded CIM’s Ambassador of the Year Award for the North West Region.

The accolade rounds off a second successful term that Richard has represented the Isle of Man on the CIM North West Regional Board.

Richard is now a finalist in the Ambassador of the Year category of the CIM Northern Awards along with a candidate from the North East and a candidate from Yorkshire.

Sponsored by The Marketing Trust, The CIM Northern Awards, now in its fourth year, celebrates the insight, creativity and success of the Northern marketing industry, the outstanding campaigns and the talent from across the region. The Awards ceremony will be held in Manchester on Thursday 09 November.  There are 17 award categories, 13 of which are open to entries, and the evening event will once again be hosted by TV’s Andy Crane.

Diane Earles, Network Manager for CIM, said “Congratulations to Richard on being shortlisted.  This recognises his commitment to CIM, not only over the last twelve months, but for all the years he had been a member and represented the Isle of Man.”

Richard said, “I am honoured to have been named by the CIM as the North West Ambassador of the Year. It also provides recognition of the importance that a significant majority of Isle of Man marketers place in gaining professional marketing qualifications with CIM.  We may be a small nation but we have a relatively large pool of very skilled, qualified marketers working across a diverse range of business sectors and I have been proud to represent them."
